University of Exeter Business School joins European management elite
The MSc in International Management, provided by the Business School has, for the first time, secured a place in the Financial Times’ highly respected league table.
The Top 50 Masters in Management list is an influential review of similar management programmes on a worldwide basis.
Exeter is one of only 10 UK institutions to make it into the Top 50, affirming the School’s contention that it’s a Top 10 UK business school. The survey is compiled by interviewing ex-students of the relevant course three years after they have graduated.
Professor Steve Brown, Head of the School’s Department of Management, commented ‘To have the Masters in International Management recognised in this way is a great achievement by the entire faculty involved. The Business School is well known for its high levels of student satisfaction – the best in the country at undergraduate level - and this report is another example of how we consistently deliver this. Our increasingly international focus has also been acknowledged.’
In a separate development this week, the university announced a change of title from the School of Business and Economics to the University of Exeter Business School. This is the first step in a £25 million investment into the Business School designed to keep pace with its ever increasing popularity and rising student numbers. Commenting on the change Professor Richard Lamming, Director, said ‘The Business School is entering a phase of significant growth and development. The new name better reflects both our current position and our future progression. It signals our focus to the academic and business communities world-wide.’
