Diesel’s on the University beat
A local police officer has a new responsibility for the Streatham campus area. Dave Dalziel, PC 3344 has been appointed to the new position of Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the University of Exeter community.
Known as Diesel, he aims to help staff and students stay safe and liaise with local residents and hall tutors.
PC Dalziel has spent 23 years working with Devon and Cornwall Police, and has worked in Exeter since 1989. He previously had responsibility for Duryard and Pennsylvania wards, but this new, larger beat will enable him to have more of a focus on University-related issues.
