Event Exeter wins Silver in Tourism awards

Event Exeter has won a silver award in the Business Tourism category of the South West Tourism Excellence awards.

The awards celebrate the ‘Best in the South West’ and aim to promote and reward the leading businesses in the tourism industry.

Sarah Snow Head of Event Exeter said, “The name Event Exeter was chosen to represent the University of Exeter’s commitment to selling Exeter as a first class destination for business tourism. It was launched earlier this year to represent the University of Exeter’s portfolio of venues and includes Reed Hall, popular for conferences, parties and wedding receptions.”

She added, “Achieving such high recognition during the brand’s infancy is testament to the Event Exeter team’s success and hard work. I am particularly pleased as this award coupled with achieving Investors In People, Customer First and Hospitality Assured, firmly puts Event Exeter at the forefront of business excellence in the region.”

High standards in customer service, accessibility, sustainability, recycling and care for the environment were demonstrated to the judges of the South West Tourism Excellence awards. The judges said, “Professional outfit with a great range of facilities. Exceptionally strong on sustainability. Beautiful surroundings, well maintained, lovely buildings.”
