Another floral success for Gordon and the team

Long-serving member of the University estates staff Gordon Newton added to his success in the floral competition at the Devon County Show as part of the Campus Services team which won a Large Gold Medal.

Gordon, who joined the University in 1960 and retires at the end of September, has won more than 40 medals at the Show since first entering in the 1970s.

The University has a long history of horticultural excellence and is generally reckoned to have one of the finest campuses in the UK. A dedicated estates team is responsible for looking after the thousands of trees, shrubs and flowers.
