The University of Exeter won the International Student Choice Category’ at the Whatuni Student Choice awards.
Exeter voted as UK’s top university for international student experience
The University of Exeter has won a prestigious award for providing the best international student experience of any university in the UK.
The University secured the celebrated ‘International Student Choice Category’ at the Whatuni Student Choice awards, held on Thursday, 23 April. More than 20,000 university students from across the UK cast their votes for the awards, which covered 10 individual categories.
In the International category, Exeter beat off strong competition from the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and University of St Andrews to secure the coveted award.
Dr Shaun Curtis, Director of International Exeter, said: "It is a tremendous honour for Exeter to win this award, voted for by international students. Exeter prides itself on providing an outstanding experience to students from more than 130 different countries.
“To win the WhatUni Award for International Student Satisfaction, in the light of very stiff competition from other outstanding UK universities, provides reassurance to current and future international applicants that their university experience at our campuses in Devon and Cornwall will be second to none.”
The Whatuni Student Rankings are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on whatuni.com. Of the 113 universities who met the minimum threshold of 100 verified student reviews, 39 universities were shortlisted across ten categories.
Simon Emmett, Managing Director of Whatuni.com, said: “The rankings are a great opportunity to engage with both current university students and those at the start of their higher education journey. The reviews are a fundamental part of whatuni.com. They represent the most current, accurate, and accessible resource for today’s sixth form and college students, helping them find the right university.”
