Help to shape the Global 100 strategy
We’re developing a new strategy to take the University of Exeter to 2020 and beyond. This strategy will identify the overall aims of the University, including the ambition to become a Global top 100 university.
The vision to be within the Global 100 isn't just about being at the top of a league table, it's about being recognised as one of the most successful universities in the world for research and teaching. It sums up our current ambitions, in the same way that ‘Top 10 by 2012’ did in 2010.
We’d like to know what colleagues at the University think of this new strategy and how we can make sure it is relevant to all staff.
We have broken down the main elements of the Global 100 strategy into three key sections: the proposed Mission, Vision, and Values. Before we go any further we’d like to gather colleague’s thoughts on these. They can be viewed, and opinions given, via a short survey that we’re asking all staff to complete
So, please take 10 minutes to consider how appropriate and how important the elements of the strategy are, and whether they will help you to do your job. The survey will be open until the end of the Spring term.
This is your opportunity to make the strategy meaningful and show how it could affect your work. These elements will inform the drafting of supporting strategies from departments across the institution, to drive our operational priorities - so they will eventually affect everyone’s day to day roles.
Feedback will be analysed in April, and the Global 100 Strategy will be put to VCEG and then Council for final approval in June, and communicated widely to the University community.
Alternatively, you can email Steph Selway to share your thoughts or volunteer for a focus group. More information about the strategy can be found on dedicated webpages, including how we got to this stage and more information on the next steps.
