Team Brief keeps colleagues up-to-date with the University’s current and future position.

Team Brief launches 23 March

A new internal communications process called Team Brief is beginning on Monday 23 March.  Team Brief is about keeping colleagues up-to-date with the University’s current and future position. It will work as a management cascade tool, with managers at every level discussing core messages with their teams, and updating them about local information specific to their service.  This will give everybody the opportunity to ask questions and collate feedback.  In addition to the team meetings, a copy of the written Team Brief will be circulated to all employees via email and informal ‘drop-in’ sessions led by members of VCEG and a Dean will be open for all employees to attend.

The Team Brief will take place every month in term time and the key dates to be aware of this month are:

Mon 23 and Tue 24 March

VCEG begins the cascade to Deans and Directors. Deans and Directors will then deliver their own team briefing to their direct reports and the cascade will continue until all teams have taken part in a face-to-face briefing with their managers

Tue 24 March

Written Team Brief will be emailed to all staff

Wed 25 March

Informal ‘drop-in’ sessions hosted by member of VCEG and a Dean – open to all employees to attend.

11:15-11:45 & 12:00-12:30 Streatham Court A, Streatham Campus; 12:00-12:30 North Cloisters 12, St Luke’s Campus

Fri 27 March

Informal ‘drop-in’ session, 11:30-12:00 Peter Lanyon, Seminar 8, Penryn Campus, video-linked to F083 Knowledge Spa, Truro

Feedback from employees which has been received via managers and/or any of the above Team Brief stages will be collated and discussed with the senior leadership team. Responses to key themes raised will be shared and included in the next month’s written Team Brief.

More details can be found on the Team Brief webpages and full  guidelines  explaining the process have been developed.

Team Brief is the third new internal communications channel to be launched, tying in with Weekly Bulletin and Rumourbuster.  If you have any questions please contact the internal communications team.
