Engineering and Technology at Exeter ranked in global 100
Engineering and Technology at the University of Exeter has been ranked as being amongst the very best in the world, according to the latest league tables.
The subject has been ranked 94th in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Engineering and Technology Rankings 2015-16, the first time it has appeared in the global 100 rankings. In the UK, Exeter is ranked 9th.
The Engineering and Technology ranking assesses the top 100 Universities in the world in this field. They are analysed across 13 performance indicators in a wide range of activity, encompassing teaching, research quality and the international influence of research, international outlook and industry income.
Professor Stephen Eichhorn, Head of Engineering at the University of Exeter said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have made it into the top 100 worldwide for engineering. This just shows that we do excellent teaching and research in engineering and technology across the board. I want to thank academic staff, professional services and students in Engineering for their hard work in achieving this.”
The news comes after the University broke into the overall THE World University Rankings global 100 for the first time, at number 93. Last week, Social Sciences was ranked 81st in the world and 14th in the country, while Life Sciences at the University of Exeter was recently ranked 82nd globally, and 15th in the UK.
