Over 100 PhD studentships available for 2016 entry
The University of Exeter is looking to build on its success in the Times Higher Education world university rankings and Research Excellence Framework, by offering over 100 funded PhD studentships for 2016 entry.
The university is a member of a number of Doctoral Training Partnerships and Centres and the fully-funded PhD studentships will be made available across a wide range of subjects from now and into the new year.
As well support through these partnerships and centres, PhD students will also benefit from the new Doctoral College which will work across discipline boundaries to ensure all research students and early career researchers receive excellent training and support. Successful PhD candidates will become part of Exeter’s research culture in which 98 per cent of research was rated of international quality and world-leading quality in the Research Excellence Framework 2014.
Professor Nick Talbot FRS, Deputy Vice-Chancellor commented: ‘At Exeter, we offer an exceptional PhD training experience across the spectrum of our research areas. We are members of four RCUK Doctoral Training Partnerships and six Centres for Doctoral Training – in specialisms ranging from Ancient History to Water Informatics. This places us at the forefront of world-class research in science, technology, the humanities and the social sciences, as a leading centre for postgraduate research.’
