Polish ambassador visits University of Exeter
Poland’s ambassador to the UK gave a speech about UK-Polish relations and Polish foreign policy during a visit to the University of Exeter.
Arkady Rzegocki spoke on the topic of “National interest: Polish-British relations after Brexit.”
He was invited by the Polish Society and the Diplomatic Hub, both run by students.
Anna Pawluk,president of the Polish Society said: “The turnout was fantastic – we had more than 110 people, both students and staff at the university, as well as some special guests from the Polish community of Exeter.
“The ambassador was very thankful for the invitation and the ability to come back to Exeter and speak to the student community.”
Mr Rzegocki visited the university as an academic in 2015 and spoke about the history of Polish independence and international relations.
After the talk last week, Mr Rzegocki answered questions from the audience.
Mr Rzegocki is a political scientist, professor of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, specialising in Polish and English political thought, and the concept of national interest.
