Business School secures top 100 place in Financial Times Masters in Management 2021 rankings

The University of Exeter Business School’s MSc Management programme has secured a place in the in the Financial Times’ Masters in Management 2021 rankings.

The flagship management Masters programme, which has a strong focus on career development as well a future trends, ethics and sustainability, was the 12th best-ranked UK programme, coming 94th overall.  

The ranking is compiled by the Financial Times every year and reflects the views of recent graduates.

It ranks the world’s Business Schools using a range of metrics within the broader categories of ‘alumni career progress’, ‘school diversity’ and ‘international experience and research’.

This year, alumni highlighted the programme’s value for money, which ranked 83 world-wide.

And 82.5% of students who had taken the course said that their aims had been achieved.

A total of 40 per cent of faculty and 56% of students were female, reflecting the steps taken by the Business School to advance gender equality.

Overall satisfaction with the programme was also high, with an average score of 9.23 out of 10.

And the programme ranked high for careers, with the career service ranking 20 and the programme achieving a global ranking of 51 for career progression.

This feat underlines our dual commitment to career development and providing a curriculum that is academically rigorous, allowing students who have not studied Business and Management subjects at undergraduate level to become specialists in this area.”

The MSc Management is a 9 or 12-month programme that aims to help launch international business careers.

It is designed to appeal to recent graduates from any subject background with less than three years’ work experience and looking to develop their business knowledge.

Students are able to tailor the programme with optional modules to match their career aspirations.

Programmes taught at the University of Exeter Business School also performed well in the recently published Guardian University Guide 2022.

The guide, which compares and ranks UK universities as well as subject areas, ranked the University of Exeter 10th for Accounting and Finance, 16th for Business, Management and Marketing and 31st for Economics.
