Launch of new Business School Alumni Group
The University of Exeter is pleased to announce the launch of the Business School Alumni Group.
This group builds on the work of the former Business and Economics at Exeter Graduates Association (BEEGA), and has been formed at the request of alumni who wish to network with each other through their connections with the Business School and professional interests in business.
The group provides opportunities for alumni of the Business School, and alumni of the University of Exeter who work in business and related fields, to network with and support each other in their professional development. The group is led by alumni Barry Bateman (Vice Chairman, Fidelity International), Colin Fletcher (Fellow, SAMI Consulting), Nigel Primmer (Executive Director, Willis) and Galib Virani (Head of Acquisitions & Investor Relations, Afren Plc).
The Business School Alumni Group was launched at a reception on Thursday 23 October 2008 at Fidelity International, 25 Cannon Street, London. The evening began with drinks at 6:30pm followed by welcome addresses at approximately 7:00pm, including Professor Richard Lamming, the new Director of the Business School, who gave a talk entitled "What is a Business School for".
We are grateful to Barry Bateman (Economics 1966), Vice Chairman of Fidelity International and a leader of the group, for hosting this event. This reception fits into a larger programme of events and activities for alumni interested in business.
