- Professor Brian Toft OBE (PhD Sociology 1991) For services to healthcare
- Dr Elizabeth Howells OBE, PhD (MSc I Clinical and Community Psychology 1990) For her work in developing Avon and Wiltshire's Primary Mental Health Care Service

- Major Simon Ridgway MBE (Economic and Political Development 1998) Awarded an MBE in the Military Division
- Mr Stuart Smalley MBE (MSc I Health Care 1990) For services as former Head of International Developments, Department of Health
DCVO
- Lady Holborow DCVO Hon LLD For services as Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall
KCMG
- Sir Tom Phillips KCMG (English 1975) For his services as HM Ambassador in Israel
