International alumni gather for events
From Paris to Beijing, Greece to Australia, Exeter alumni have been meeting across the globe to socialise and network.
Over the past 12 months a series of different events have been held, including summer cocktails in Athens, Greece, to cheese and wine tasting in Hong Kong and informal drinks in Melbourne, Australia.
Among the forthcoming events planned are a ‘welcome back’ event for new graduates returning to China and a summer lunch in Madrid, Spain.
The number of Country Contacts – alumni who act as contact points, event planners and liaison in a particular area – has grown and there are now dedicated Facebook pages for different parts of the world.
The University of Exeter currently has 62 alumni Country Contacts in more than 30 countries. For more information on the location of your nearest Country Contact please visit our website, or if you are interested in becoming a country contact for your area please contact us. Our Country Contacts volunteer to help us keep in contact with our international alumni by organising social and professional networking events. They may also assist with international recruitment activity, managing social media platforms
We are currently expanding our International Country Contact network with the creation of Alumni Groups in Greece, Turkey and the USA , with a new Hong Kong group planned for the end of the year.
