Washington DC event held with British Council
The University of Exeter has hosted a prestigious reception in the United States’ capital in conjunction with the British Council. The reception was hosted by Philip Barton, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy.
Students spending a year in the US and offer holders who hope to attend Exeter had a unique opportunity to network with other alumni and friends. Nearly 70 people attended the event and heard an update on the University from the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Sir Steve Smith.
Also attending from Exeter were Ms Jeannie Forbes, Dr Shaun Curtis (Director of International Exeter), Susie Hills (Director of Development and Alumni Relations), Tess Nixon (Senior Development Manager), Mark Preston (Development Manager) and Jess Harrington (International Events Officer).
The University would like to thank all of those involved in making the event a success, especially Kathy Culpin, Events Manager at the British Council Washington.
Photographs of the event can be found on our website and the 'Exeter Alumni USA' facebook group. If you have any questions on alumni events in the USA please either contact one of our Country Contacts or Rachael Stokes, International Alumni Officer (r.stokes@exeter.ac.uk)
