Entrepreneur backs Forum at University event
Dragons’ Den investor and entrepreneur Deborah Meaden shared some of her expertise during a special event about Sustainability and Business at the University.
Before a full audience in both Exeter and via video link from the Cornwall campus students, alumni and local residents were given the unique opportunity to ask Deborah questions on a topic which is becoming increasingly necessary for companies.
Deborah (Hon LLD 2011) also presented prizes to the winners of the 2012 Exeter Apprentice Awards, an annual competition for students run by the Exeter Entrepreneurs Society, of which she is Patron.
The event was one of the first public lectures to be held in the University’s impressive Alumni Auditorium, part of our stunning new Forum building at the heart of campus.
Speaking about this fantastic new development Deborah said: "The Forum is an important addition to the University of Exeter. Not just in terms of what it offers students but the wider opportunities it affords by drawing high yielding business events to the local area.
“This new facility underlines the University’s drive in being the best in the world for education and knowledge."
