The inaugural carol service takes place 6 December
Alumni invited to first London carol service
The first ever Exeter Alumni carol service to be held in London takes place at the beginning of December.
The event will be a true Exeter affair with alumna Kate MacPherson (Law 2009) playing the organ and Richard Brain (History 2011) conducting.
“Christmas is a time for friends to join together and we very much hope Exeter alumni will support this carol service by coming along,” said Hugh MacDougald (Law 1976), who has organised the event alongside Jonathan Broad (Law 2008).
“Our group of professional singers, ably led by Richard and accompanied by Kate, will really add something special to the evening, but to make it a true success we need lots of people to come along and join in. If it proves popular we hope it will become an annual Exeter alumni event.”The service, which lasts an hour, will be a slightly shorter version of the traditional Nine Lessons and Carols Festival.
It takes place at the historic church St Mary Woolnoth next to the Bank of England. It has been a site of worship for at least 2,000 years.
The carol service is free for alumni, their friends and families to attend – but please register with Angela Evans (Angela.Evans@exeter.ac.uk).
