House of Lords hosts Exeter alumni
More than 200 alumni and friends gathered together to enjoy a special evening reception at the House of Lords, generously hosted by alumna Baroness Shackleton of Belgravia LVO (Law 1977, Hon LLD 2010).
Also welcoming guests were the Chancellor, Baroness Benjamin of Beckenham OBE DL, Hon DLitt, and Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Sir Steve Smith – both of whom shared news about the achievements of the University and its alumni over the past year.
Guests also enjoyed a rare opportunity to tour the Houses of Parliament, as well as time to catch-up with fellow alumni over drinks and canapés.
Susie Hills, Director of Development and Alumni Relations, said: “This was a wonderful occasion to gather together in a very special venue. It gave us the opportunity to thank all of our alumni and friends for their generous support over the past year and to recognise all that they do for us.
“We’d like to thank Baroness Shackleton for hosting such a special event for us and also the Chancellor, Baroness Benjamin, for once again giving so generously of her time to support the University."
