Spring telethon success
Spring telethon raises nearly £130,000
University of Exeter alumni have demonstrated their exceptional generosity and commitment to their University by pledging £128,162 in the spring telethon.
Over the course of five weeks, student callers spoke with 1317 alumni, 370 of whom gave a donation.
This alumni support has raised £63,000 for the Scholars Fund, £33,000 for the Alumni Annual Fund and £32,000 for the Health Fund. These donations will help to ensure that all students can benefit from the best Exeter experience as well as supporting research into global health challenges.
Rose Cohen, Regular Giving Manager at the University of Exeter, said: “We are incredibly thankful to all alumni who have supported the telethon. All donations, no matter how small, can make a massive difference to students. This combined total will help student societies to fund additional activities, support widening participation programmes and benefit research projects.”
This telethon demonstrated the widening support for the University with £60,000 pledged by alumni who have never given before and 27% of the total given by those under 30. For more information on supporting Exeter, please see the Making the Exceptional Happen website.
