Alumnus and member of University Council to host virtual book launch
Exeter alumnus, University Council member, and Chair of the Campaign Board, Gerry Brown (Economics & Economic History, 1966) is hosting a virtual launch event for his new book Independent Director in Society: Our current crisis of governance and what to do about it.
The book launch takes place on Tuesday, 27 October at 9:00 and alumni can register for free here.
The launch will explore the challenges faced by the NHS, and our Universities, Charities and Sporting Organisations including the impact of COVID-19.
It will also highlight the very significant findings from the research conducted into the governance of organisations in these sectors by Henley Business School including interviewing over 40 key opinion leaders and more than 600 confidential surveys of board directors.
The event will be compered by acclaimed columnist Stefan Stern, who will invite authors Gerry Brown, Andrew Kakabadse, Filipe Morais and Andrew Myers to talk through the key findings. There will also be additional keynote speakers including Professor Sir Steve Smith, former Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Exeter.
