Exeter startups invited to join award winning programme at Exeter Science Park

Exeter technology startups are invited to join an award winning Entrepreneurs’ Programme at Exeter Science Park next month, delivered on behalf of SETsquared, the global number one university business incubator.

The three day programme, to be held at Exeter Science Park from 26-28 February 2018 aims to boost small businesses in the South West and includes a unique package of entrepreneurship training, bespoke business support and the potential for grow-on space. Run alongside the SpaceTech Incubation Initiative, the course is open to anyone wishing to grow and develop a technology business idea, but there will also be the opportunity for businesses utilising space technology or satellite data to further progress their idea including access to grant support.

One of the first graduates of the programme, Mike Badley has since launched his cutting-edge business. Sigma Technical is a pioneering robotics firm that is developing a state-of-the-art diagnostic and physical training machine. Mike attracted £5000 of funding through the South West Centre of Excellence for Satellite Applications and significant support from Innovate UK. His impressive design has also resulted in Sigma receiving a Seal of Excellence from the European Commission via Horizon 2020. Mike now has his own facility at the Exeter Science Park Centre.

Applications close at 11:59 PM on 4 February 2018. For more information and to receive an application form please contact Head of Business Support, Joe Pearce on joe.pearce@spaceforsuccess.co.uk or 01392 247938.
