The University of Exeter renews agreement with the University of South Florida (USF)

The University of Exeter and the University of South Florida (USF) renewed agreements for collaboration in Education and Research during recent meetings in Florida.

Vice Chancellor Professor Sir Steve Smith and USF President Judy Genshaft formalised the General Agreement and entered into a 5 year student exchange agreement to enable continued and expanded student exchange between the two Universities. They launched the University of Exeter / University of South Florida Research Catalyst Fund to provide grants of up to £8000 to support joint research initiatives between the two institutions.

Deputy Registrar Jacqui Marshall signed a formal statement of cooperation between the Grand Challenges programme at Exeter and the Global Citizen’s project at USF, paving the way for USF student and faculty involvement in Exeter’s Grand Challenges programme from 2019.

In New York City, Sir Steve hosted a Global Conversation event titled "Can we Prevent Dementia? Will we cure it?". With over 50 guests in attendance – including alumni, medical professionals and University partners – the event showcased Professor Clive Ballard’s pioneering research in the field of Dementia’.
