Exeter remains in top 200 in QS World University Rankings
The University of Exeter has retained its position inside the top 200 universities worldwide, according to the latest influential international league table.
Exeter has been ranked 163rd in the QS World University Rankings 2020, the largest and most extensive international league table, published today (June 19th).
This is the 16th year that QS has published its World University Rankings. They are based on six indicators and were compiled by considering more than 1,200 universities.
In this latest ranking, Exeter’s rank improved in three of the six indicators – academic reputation, international student ratio and the student-to-staff ratio. The highest ranked indicator was employer reputation, placed 139th.
This latest international ranking follows the recent announcement that Exeter secured 10th position in the influential Guardian University Guide 2020.
The University also enjoyed considerable success in the accompanying individual subject league tables published in the latest Guardian University Guide – with four subjects ranked in the top 5, eight in the top 10 and 25 in the top 20.
Exeter’s subjects across the sciences and humanities were also recognised as being among the very best in the country, with 37 subjects ranked in the top 20 - including 27 in the top ten - in the latest Complete University Guide 2020, released last month.
