Exeter reinforces position in The Complete University Guide

The University of Exeter has been ranked 13th in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2022. 

The University also preserved its second-placed position in the South West region, in the latest ranking, released today (June 8th 2021). 

Both science and humanities subjects have been recognised as being amongst the best in the country, with 36 in the top 20 - of which 12 subjects are top 10. Three subjects appeared in the top 5 -  the highest ranking of which was Anthropology in 3rd. 

Professor Lisa Roberts, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Exeter said: “It is pleasing to see that Exeter has performed strongly both regionally and nationally in this year's Complete University Guide.  It is also encouraging to see so many subjects across the sciences and humanities perform so well, with more than 30 in the top 20. It reflects Exeter's position as a strong, encouraging and rewarding environment where students and staff alike are nurtured and stimulated to flourish and thrive." 

The Complete University Guide ranking is based on 10 measures: Entry Standards, Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Graduate Prospects – outcomes, Graduate Prospects – on track, Student-Staff Ratio, Spending on Academic Services, Spending on Student Facilities, and Completion. 130 Universities are included in this years rankings.
