Our 4th year MArabic students in Cairo
Abla Oudeh visited Cairo in October
Head of Languages Abla Oudeh visited Cairo in October to observe our 4th year MArabic students on their work placements. During part of the Autumn Term our students spend time in an accredited institution in the Arabic-speaking world and then undertake a short work placement.
Abla Oudeh had meetings with the ILI Director of Studies, the Executive Director and the project manager where students' feedback and ILI teachers' notes were discussed.
Two classes were observed, Media class and Modern Standard Arabic class. At dinner the students' feedback was that their course in Cairo offers a unique cultural and linguistic experience. They were also very happy with the variety of work placements which have included newspapers, fashion studio, and NGOs supporting the environment.
