The College of Humanities announces MA Classics and Ancient History scholarship
The College is delighted to announce that it will be offering one full-fee scholarship to provide an opportunity for a Greek student to come to the UK to study on the MA Classics and Ancient History programme. The scholarship was announced by the University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Sir Steve Smith, at an alumni event held in Athens in April 2013.
The Masters programme offers an excellent degree qualification in Classics and Ancient History that will develop the knowledge gained on the subject from undergraduate study. The department provides students a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment that is further enhanced by the research interests of the College’s internationally-renowned staff.
The range of modules offered features an exciting mix of those driven by the cutting-edge research currently being undertaken by staff in the department, as well as the advanced study of traditional topics and themes in the disciplines of Classics and Ancient History, including Philosophy, Reception Studies and Visual/Material culture.
This award is available to applicants residing in Greece only. The student selected to receive the Greek student scholarship for the academic year 2014/15 will receive a full-fee scholarship, which will be applied upon registration.
To be eligible for a scholarship you must have applied to the MA Classics and Ancient History and completed the scholarship application form by Thursday 1 May.
