Dr Ana Beduschi recently presented her research to the NGO Save the Children in Geneva

Her research aims to reassess the protection of unaccompanied migrant children in international human rights law against deterrence strategies underlying contemporary migration policies in Europe and in the Americas.

She participated in an expert meeting and carried out interview with members of Save the Children. The participants also discussed the possibility of establishing future research collaboration with the NGO in the field of the protection of unaccompanied migrant children’s human rights.

This collaboration would bring together Exeter Law School’s academic expertise and Save the Children’s practical work in the field. This research project was supported by the University of Exeter SSIS Strategic Research Fund.
