Dr Beduschi to undertake visiting fellowship at prestigious institution in Geneva

Dr Beduschi will join the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in October as a Visiting Fellow.

The Geneva Academy was established in 2007 by the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. Since then, the Geneva Academy has acquired a global reputation for excellent teaching and research in international law. Its researchers and experts focus on clarifying International Humanitarian Law, strengthening Human Rights protection, and developing the areas of complementarity between International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law.

During her time at the Geneva Academy, Dr Beduschi will investigate the opportunities and challenges that AI algorithms and related technologies present for State obligations under International Human Rights Law. In particular, she will focus on the rights to privacy, data protection, freedom of expression, non-discrimination and due process.
