Michaelmores' Partner Joanna Demerell Presents the Michelmores' 2015 Land Law Prize to third-year Law student Kelly Newman.

Michelmores' awards 2015 Land Law prize

South West law firm Michelmores LLP has awarded Kelly Newman, a third-year student at Exeter University with its 2015 Land Law prize - for achieving the best results in her year.  Kelly scored an impressive 78/100 for the module.

The Firm has been awarding the student with the best performance on the Land Law course at Exeter University for over 20 years. Kelly was presented with a certificate and a cheque for her achievement at a celebratory lunch at Michelmores' Exeter office – joined by Partner Joanna Damerell and Solicitor Holly Dobbins from the Real Estate team. Kelly is now entering her third year at Exeter University, studying LLB Law with a Masters in French Law. Commenting on her achievement, she said:  "I really enjoyed the Land Law module and found it so interesting that I did a lot of additional reading, which I think really helped me to achieve the marks I did. Having completed a variety of internships and work experience placements, I have developed a keen interest in commercial law and I hope to enter this area of the law after I graduate. I'm very grateful to Joanna and Holly for taking the time to have lunch with me and giving me an insight into commercial real estate and property law."
