New International Law Forum website launches
The University of Exeter International Law Forum has recently launched its new webpages, with information about upcoming events, our members and research projects.
The International Law Forum was established in 2014 to support research collaboration, and innovative research-led teaching in the field of international law, by:
- Carrying out research projects on a range of international law-related topics;
- Delivering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in international law, drawing from the expertise of Forum members;
- Hosting seminars, guest lectures and workshops on topical issues;
- Developing connections with relevant institutions, organisations and practitioners in order to bridge gaps between academia and practice;
- Offering high quality supervision for students wishing to carry out research in international law;
- Providing opportunities for students to contribute to the Forum’s activities and gain skills to enhance future employability.
A number of activities and events have been scheduled for Term 2. Our first event will take place on Tuesday 27th January. Mike Sanderson, who has been undertaking research into citizenship law and the prevention of statelessness in the horn of Africa, will be giving a lecture entitled “Nationality, Statelessness and the UNHCR Mandate”. The event will take place at 4pm in Room B105, Amory Building. All University of Exeter staff and students are welcome to attend.
The second event will take place on Monday 2nd February. Mr Keith Raynor will visit the University of Exeter to give a guest lecture on “The ECCC Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia: Prosecuting Former Senior Leaders of the Pol Pot Regime”. The lecture will be held at 4pm in Room 320, Laver Building. The event is open to all University of Exeter staff and students.
