Pro Bono Week UK 2020 2-6 November

In aid of Pro Bono Week, students Jasmin Cogin and Lauren Hunt, Pro Bono Officers at the University of Exeter Law Society (UELS) hosted a variety of events celebrating the voluntary work of students and legal personnel. The week consisted of social, skill based and informative events which all students were invited to.

Students were able to expand upon their skills during an interactive session with Support Through Court and the University of Exeter society, Women and Law, during ‘Effective Skills in Pro Bono’.

‘Pro Bono Through the Pandemic and Beyond’ concluded the week where students engaged in a panel event discussing the effects of COVID on Pro Bono and it’s future. University of Exeter alumnus Jake Pritchard  (LLB Law 2018) from Citizens Advice Bureau, Chris Moors from Support Through Court and Tia Matt, Director of Legal Education all provided insight into their challenges and achievements during the current climate. Alongside this, the Pro Bono Team raised over £400 with the support of the society who matched all donations!
