Professor Mike Schmitt has been named a Visiting Professor at the University of Texas Law School

Professor Mike Schmitt has been named a Visiting Professor at the University of Texas Law School.  The University of Texas is in the top-tier of American law schools and renowned for its work in the field of national security. It is also the home of the Robert Strauss Center for International  Security and Law.  He joins a team of distinguished scholars of global reputation that includes Professor Bobby Chesney, Steve Vladeck and Derek Jinks.  In the field of international law and security, the University is known for supporting the Lawfare and War on the Rocks blog sites and publishing the Texas International Law Journal and Texas National Security Review.  Professor Schmitt sits on the Board of the latter.

Professor Schmitt is an international law expert, currently directing in a multi-year cyber law capacity-building project for government officials around the world that is sponsored by the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia and the United States.  In addition to his expertise in cyber law, Professor Schmitt will bring space law and international humanitarian law expertise to the Texas faculty.  He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Texas Law School.
