Student run project, Women & Law Exeter welcomes progressive working culture demonstrated by visiting firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

Women and Law (W&L) Exeter is a student-run project through the 'Students as Change Agents' scheme. As part of a wider societal conversation on representation in the workforce, they strive to highlight the challenges faced by women in the legal profession, creating a platform for discussion amongst students, staff and professionals.

On the 14th of November 2017, Women and Law hosted a panel with leading global law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills. Herbert Smith Freehills proves exemplary in its aim to lead globally on gender representation. The firm has been recognised for this commitment, named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women in the UK for the third year in a row in 2017. Prioritising a progressive working culture, the firm supports the progression of women at all levels

Students heard about the Women Trainee Lawyers' Network and were able to raise questions to the panel, allowing for a broader insight into the firm's culture and the realities of life at Herbert Smith Freehills.
