LLB Law with Professional Placement student, Shreya Srinivasan wins an award in the Aspiring Solicitors Commercial Awareness Competition 2022.

Student wins Aspiring Solicitors Award

First year LLB Law with Professional Placement student, Shreya Srinivasan, has been chosen as one of the six winners of the Aspiring Solicitors Commercial Awareness Competition for 2022.

This is a highly competitive and challenging competition, with a number of elimination rounds. Students are required to demonstrate exceptional commercial awareness and public speaking skills, with the final taking place in London with representatives from a number of top firms. Winners are offered vacation scheme opportunities with several top law firms, making it a highly desirable prize.

On receiving the award Shreya wrote on her LinkedIn page:

"Wow, I still can't quite believe that I've made it as one of 6 winners. The journey from Round 1 to the finals has just been a brilliant learning experience and the people I have met have inspired me to much with their incredible journeys.

A huge well done to all my fellow winners, Zana Bakalli, Grace Vaughan (MInstLM), Jacque James, Ayah Fadil and Dale Cornish. I feel truly honoured to be a winner of this year's competition alongside such a talented and inspirational group of people!"  

It is quite unusual to see a first year law student progress to the final, let alone win, so this is a remarkable achievement! Well done Shreya!
