Melanie Williams gives 37th Annual Horace E. Read Memorial Lecture
On 13th March, Professor Melanie Williams gave a lecture entitled The Utility of "Law and Literature" to Legal Education at the Schulich Law School at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The Read Lecture series was inaugurated in 1975 to honour the memory of the late Horace E Read, OC, QC, who was Dean of Dalhousie Law School from 1950 until 1964, in recognition of his contribution to legal education and legal scholarship.
Dr Read's areas of interest were broad: law reform, legislation and the legislative process, conflict of law, labour law and legal education, and this is well reflected in the diversity of the lectures.
