Exeter Law School has doubled its world-leading performance and significantly increased its internationally excellent activity.

Our research has been rated as world-leading and internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

85% of our research is classified as world-leading or internationally excellent*.

There are over 90 Law Schools in the UK, and in this exercise Exeter was ranked overall 19th. It was the third most improved Law School since the Research Assessment Exercise of 2008. It doubled its world-leading performance and significantly increased its internationally excellent activity.

In terms of the impact of Exeter Law School’s research, namely the contribution it makes to society, the economy, culture, public policy and quality of life, it too was judged either world-leading or internationally excellent.
