'Equality Act 2010: 5 Years On' - Best Poster Award received by Exeter PhD Student
Congratulations to Hayley Dornan for winning the award at the one day conference which was held in Chester on 22nd June.
The conference was hosted by the Forum for Research into Equality and Diversity (‘FRED’) at the University of Chester in collaboration with the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool.
The prize, sponsored by OUP, was a £100 OUP book voucher. This was awarded for the best poster presentation and was presented to Hayley by Anne Morris from University of Liverpool. The judging panel comprised of Professor Debra Morris (Liverpool University), Dr Nuno Ferreira (Liverpool), Professor Muriel Robison (University of Chester visiting professor and judge) and Anne Morris (University of Liverpool).
The poster, based on Hayley's PhD research topic, was entitled: ’The Equality Act 2010: Mystique, Mental Gymnastics and More for Mental Impairments’. The keynote speakers at the conference were Professor Sir Bob Hepple QC, Emeritus Master of Clare College and Coln O’Cinneide, Reader in Law at University College London.
