Law academic gives ‘historic interview’ about constitutional reform on Icelandic TV
Catherine Dupré was interviewed on leading Icelandic political talk show, Silfrið, on 8th November 2020 about the ongoing constitutional reform process in Iceland.
Soon after the publication of a collection on the 2010-2017 Icelandic constitutional reform that she co-edited with the late Ágúst Thór Árnason, Catherine Dupré was invited to discuss her analysis of the reform on Silfrið, Iceland’s leading political talk show. The TV interview was greeted with enthusiasm by former President of the Republic Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, in office when the reform process started, who congratulated Catherine Dupre on twitter for this ‘historic interview’. The collection published by Routledge brings together first-hand accounts of key actors and offers the first comprehensive analysis of the reform. The collection was launched on 10th December 2020 at a webinar hosted by the Faculty of law at the University of Akureyri. The event was opened by the Prime Minister who discussed recent developments of the reform. The President of the Republic of Iceland and contributors paid tribute to Ágúst Thór Árnason.
