Excellent NSS score for Humanities
Humanities continues to score highly for student satisfaction in National Student Survey 2016
Latest results in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2016 show that the College of Humanities continues to score highly - with students among the most satisfied within UK universities.
Five disciplines in Humanities are ranked in the top 10 of the sector in the NSS, and three are in the top 5. Drama, English, and Film Studies rank 1st for their disciplines in the Russell Group.
Professor Sir Steve Smith, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Exeter, said: “I’m delighted to see that Exeter has gained ground in this very competitive ranking. While we consistently rank highly, other universities are working hard to make gains, creating a lot of movement within these tables.
“At Exeter, we pride ourselves on our commitment to an all-round outstanding experience, and this result is testimony to our dedicated and committed staff. We continuously listen to feedback from our students, and it’s great to see that the action we are taking is reflected in these results.”
The NSS is a national survey that has been conducted by Ipsos MORI annually since 2005. The survey runs across all publicly funded Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Further information can be found on the NSS website.
