The Medical Imaging and Medicine programmes at the University of Exeter Medical School have been ranked in the top 10 of the NSS.

Medical School subjects rank in top ten for student satisfaction

Two programmes at the University of Exeter Medical School have ranked in the top ten nationally for student satisfaction.

The Medical Imaging programme was ranked 4th, up from 13th last year, while the programme climbed one place to number 10 in the National Student Survey (NSS).

The survey invites all final year students to rate their satisfaction levels with their programme in a range of areas. Medical Imaging, ranked in a category called Medical Technology, scored an overall satisfaction rating of 92.7% and 98.6% for satisfaction in teaching. The programme scored 100% in questions on satisfaction in access to specialist equipment, being intellectually stimulating and staff enthusiasm.

Meanwhile Medicine, which is a combined score with Plymouth University, scored 88.6% overall, with a score of 95.5% for teaching.

Professor Angela Shore, Interim Dean and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Exeter Medical School, said: “These are excellent results which recognise our investment in facilities over recent years. Above all, they are testimony to the talent, hard work and support provided by our staff, who put students at the centre of all they do. I’d like to thank everyone involved.”
