The College will change its name to the College of Medicine and Health

Expansion prompts College name change

The University of Exeter Medical School has decided to change its name to reflect the continued successful expansion of its programmes and research portfolio, and acknowledge a major step change in its ambitions for medicine and health in Exeter.

Following a consultation, and agreement from the Vice Chancellor’s Executive Group and the University’s Senate and Council, the College will change its name to the College of Medicine and Health with effect from 9th October 2018.

Whilst the College name is changing, we are not changing any of the internal structures of the College. The University of Exeter Medical School and its two research institutes will still exist under the new umbrella term of the College of Medicine and Health, alongside the Academy of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.
