Medicine programme tops Russell Group for student satisfaction

The University of Exeter’s Medicine programme has topped the Russell Group for student satisfaction levels.

The first students to graduate from the five year programme gave ringing endorsements to the high quality of teaching and support in their feedback to the National Student Survey, which all students complete in their final year.

Exeter’s Medicine programme ranked 6th in the country and top of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities.

Professor Clive Ballard, Executive Dean and Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Exeter Medical School, said: “This result is an outstanding testimony to the hard work, dedication and high calibre of all our staff, and also our students. Their input has been crucial from the start, and it’s been a collaboration to create a programme, culture and set of values that we’re all very proud of. We’re still a new school and this feedback will help us continue to develop our high standards even further.”

The Medical School’s Medical Sciences and Medical Imaging programmes also scored top ten in the Russell Group for overall student satisfaction. Overall, the University ranked at 2nd place in the Russell Group.
