Exeter Scholars shortlisted for Whatuni award
Exeter Scholars, the University’s pioneering fair access programme, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2019.
Scholars helps pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to make decisions about their future and enter higher education.
It has been shortlisted in the Prospective Student Engagement category which recognises campaigns and initiatives that engage prospective students in new and exciting ways. The judges will be scoring on Innovation, usefulness to prospective students and impact for the university.
Melissa Ruddock, Widening Participation Manager, said it was a great honour to be shortlisted and is a testament to the hard work of all those involved in making the programme a success from both professional services and the academic community.
This is the sixth annual Student Choice Awards and Scholars is shortlisted alongside projects from nine other higher education institutes. The winner will be announced on 25 April at an awards dinner in London.
