5th Annual Meeting of South West Health Economists - May 2015

‌Health Economists from University of Exeter, University of Bristol and University of the West of England (UWE) gathered at St Luke’s Campus in Exeter for a day of presentations and panel sessions on 12th May 2015.‌

The meetings provide an opportunity for presenting research, networking  across the groups and they aim to foster synergies between ‌research and potential collaboration.‌

The meeting was a great success, and topics included in this years meeting were:

  • health state utility values for Huntington’s Disease across Europe,
  • an update of recent research that aims to standardise resource-use measures
  • a review of ongoing wellbeing work at Exeter
  • research in Bristol on identifying and prioritising opportunities for disinvestment in health care
  • discussion on social prescribing in the Bristol area.
