Aurora Programme - Feb 2015

Dr Annie Hawton has been awarded a place on the national, annual Aurora Programme. This is a leadership development programme run by the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education for women who would like to develop and explore issues relating to leadership roles and responsibilities. Aurora uses a combination of cross-institutional development days and self-directed learning, with participants supported by an in-house mentor. Aurora addresses core areas associated with leadership success including: understanding organisations and the sector; developing leadership behaviours, skills and knowledge; identifying and overcoming barriers and obstacles; growing confidence and a leadership identity; building networks, coalitions and support processes.
