Columbia University Press has nominated Jerusalem Unbound: Geography, History and the Future of the Holy City (2014) authored by Professor Mick Dumper for the British-Kuwait Friendship Society Prize in Middle Eastern Studies of 2015. Funded by the Abdullah Mubarak Al-Sabah Foundation, the Prize (worth up to £10,000) is awarded annually to the best scholarly work in English on the Middle East which has been published in its first edition in the United Kingdom. The competition is administered by the British Society of Middle East Studies (BRISMES).
Jerusalem Unbound is a publication that resulted from research carried out for the Conflict in Cities and the Contested State project funded by the ESRC between 2008-13.
