CHYME/Egenis book has a quarter of a million downloads
An edited book about the history of neurodiversity movement published by Exploring Diagnosis, a Wellcome Trust funded collaborative project between Children & Young People’s Mental Health Research Collaboration (CHYME) and Egenis has been downloaded a quarter of a million times. Word about the book, which is written by autistic people about their own activism, has been retweeted in 29 countries including in Africa, South America, and South East Asia.
PI on the project Ginny Russell said “ We are delighted the book is a global smash. Hopefully Lockdown will give people the space in their lives to read it”. The book is published by Springer and available Open Access,
