Global recognition for Exeter Arts and Humanities with top 100 world ranking
The flourishing international reputation and research strengths of the University of Exeter’s Arts and Humanities subjects have once again been recognised in the latest sector rankings.
The influential Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings have placed Arts and Humanities in the top 100 globally.
The subjects are placed 84th in the latest edition of the rankings, released October 28th 2020, meaning we have now been in the top 100 6 years in a row.
THE’s global rankings are judged on research citations and international outlook as key indicators of the subjects’ worldwide reputation.
Professor Jo Gill, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean for the College of Humanities at the University of Exeter said: “We are delighted to have maintained our strong position in these rankings.
“It is a true reflection of the excellent quality of research and teaching in all disciplines, as well as the dynamic and stimulating atmosphere found within the College. Colleagues and students alike can feel very proud of this outstanding outcome.”
The subject ranking is the latest success for the college on the national and international stage.
In March 2020 the College of Humanities ranked within the top 100 within the QS World University Ranking, and continues to be ranked highly within UK subject league tables.
