Startup bus to drive in free business support on campus
The NatWest startup bus will shortly be arriving at its next destination, the University of Exeter campus.
The iconic bus, sponsored by Natwest, will be parked outside the Forum on Monday 12 June from 10.00am until 4.00pm providing a number of business support workshops and informal drop-in sessions to University staff, students and associates alongside the local entrepreneurial community.
The programme includes workshops and informal drop-in sessions with experts from the regional business and legal communities who can help answer questions and provide advice to take your business, idea or research to the next level.
IIB staff including Dr Neil Hayes, Head of Commercialisation and Business Programmes and Joe Pearce, Business Support Manager will be present throughout the day for drop-in sessions with University staff and students. They will be available for 1:1 meetings to discuss opportunities to participate in University and SETsquared entrepreneurship programmes such as Researcher 2 Innovator and ICURe, and to reveal the funding and support available for University commercialisation projects.
The workshop programme will cover a range of topics and speakers including: Chris Lorimer from SW Growth Service, providing advice to organisations enabling them to grow, adapt and develop. Tom Kennard from Granted offering information on identifying and securing grant funding for businesses. Tom Moore, IT Lawyer and IP Specialist from Stephens Scown advising on aspects such as IT contracts, data protection and creating international trade marks. Kate Doodson from Cosmic will be bringing insight on digital and technological developments.
These will be followed by Q&A sessions on each subject and the opportunity to engage with each of the speakers. For detailed information on speakers and sessions visit the Eventbrite page.
