London based, The Rattle is an inspirational co-working space, specifically for artists, tech makers, and entrepreneurs.

The Rattle makes some noise for entrepreneurial Exeter Alumni

On 6 March, The University of Exeter Student Startup Programme, Think:Try:Do hosted the second Entrepreneurs Network event at The Rattle, Tobacco Dock, London.

The team welcomed members of a growing community of graduates from the University of Exeter who have taken the plunge into entrepreneurial and startup ventures in and around London. They aim to create a space for networking, advice and idea-sharing; a place to inspire and to be inspired.

The Rattle recently opened with the purpose to provide an inspirational co-working space, specifically for artists, tech makers, and entrepreneurs to develop new music and music tech, and to collaborate from the very get-go of their careers. The space includes a co-working startup studio, recording studios, rehearsal & showcase performance rooms and has now welcomed its first cohort of 42 new members. The Rattle is the brainchild of Exeter Grad, MIT technology entrepreneur, MD of global startup accelerator MassChallenge UK Chris Howard, & Ph.D, and acclaimed music producer, writer & major-label performer Bobby Bloomfield.

Remarking on the event, Student Startup Manger, Emily Davies said: “It was wonderful to welcome more than 30 Exeter alumni to our event. Chris and Bobby shared The Rattle story with attendees and provided insight on where this idea came from, how the project developed, how they secured funding and future plans for expansion and development. There was also plenty of time for informal networking and introductions and it was exciting to see new relationships being forged and potential future collaborations in the pipeline.”
